The WL101/WL102 have been tested and are working and are in use by some RFLink users..
Some tips when nothing seems to work:
- remove all hardware and flash firmware r42 on the Atmega
- then for testing, just start with the receiver, do not connect the transmitter
- put the breadboard next to the Atmega, not "on top" if that is not possible because you used the double adhesive tape, then reposition the receive to the other side
- stretch / pull out the receiver antenna so it becomes a long /streight 17 cm wire.
- do not use the led
- follow the wiring for the WL101 on this page:
http://www.nemcon.nl/blog2/wiring
connect pin 4 to pin 19 of the mega, pin 6 goes to ground, pin 3 goes to 5 volts
Next:
- Start RFLink Loader as described on this page:
http://www.nemcon.nl/blog2/development
Follow steps 1,2 and 3
press a button on a 433mhz remote control or wait for a temperature sensor to transmit (some have a tx button to transmit instantly) and check if you get the debug data as shown in the image as nr. 4.
If you do not receive any data then either your module is faulty or your transmitting devices are not working / not working on the right frequency.
